Privacy Policy
Last Updated: 2026-04-07
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how parizene ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information through the Cell Tower Locator mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information Collected Automatically:
- Device Information: OS version, device model, network carrier, language settings, unique device identifiers (e.g., Firebase Installation ID, Advertising ID).
- Location Data: Precise GPS location is used for the App's core functionality of locating cell towers near your position. Your GPS coordinates are transmitted to our server only to query our database for nearby cell towers, but we do not store or log these coordinates, and they cannot be used to identify you. We do not knowingly share your location data with third parties. You can disable location services in your device settings; the App will still work but with limited functionality — you'll be able to view cell towers in the current map view area but won't see your own location.
- Usage Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect pseudonymous data about your interactions with the App (e.g., features used, session length) to understand usage patterns and improve the App. Google Privacy Policy
- Crash Data: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect pseudonymous crash reports (device state, OS version, App version at crash) to diagnose and fix bugs. Firebase Crashlytics Terms / Google Privacy Policy
- Configuration Data: We may use Firebase Remote Config to fetch configuration settings based on pseudonymous data (App version, OS, country) to update the App's behavior without requiring an update. Google Privacy Policy
- Purchase Information: If you make purchases, RevenueCat manages subscriptions/purchases. They collect data like an anonymized user ID and purchase status. We do not access or store your payment card details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy
- Advertising Data: We use AppLovin to display ads. If ads are enabled, AppLovin and its partners may collect/receive data like Advertising ID (IDFA/GAID), IP address, device info, and ad interaction data to serve ads. On iOS, we will request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before any cross-app tracking occurs. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time via your device's privacy settings. AppLovin Privacy Policy
B. Information You May Provide:
- (Optional) Any data you voluntarily enter, like notes or logs related to cell towers, if such features exist.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the App's core features (using location data to query our database for nearby cell towers).
- To improve and optimize the App (using analytics and crash data).
- To display advertisements (via AppLovin). Advertising data processing is based on your consent where required by law.
- To manage in-app purchases and subscriptions (via RevenueCat).
- To potentially personalize experience (via Remote Config).
- To respond to your support requests.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or regions with similar laws, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of Contract: To provide the App functionality you've requested (cell tower lookup, map display)
- Legitimate Interests: For improving the App via analytics and crash reporting, balanced against your privacy rights
- Consent: For location data access via your device permissions, and for advertising data collection and cross-app tracking (via ATT on iOS). You may withdraw consent at any time via your device settings or by contacting us.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with applicable laws and regulations
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service Providers:
- Google (Firebase): Analytics, crash reporting, remote config.
- RevenueCat: Purchase/subscription management.
- AppLovin: Ad serving (they may share data with their partners per their policy; this sharing occurs only with your consent where required by law). These providers access data only to perform tasks on our behalf or provide their service.
- Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
7. Data Security and Retention
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transfers
- Secure authentication protocols
- Regular security assessments
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data.
Data Retention: We retain usage data for no more than 26 months. Crash data is retained for 90 days. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
8. International Data Transfers
The App's services may involve transferring data to countries outside your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required by law.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request erasure of your data
- Restriction: Limit how we use your data
- Objection: Oppose certain data processing
- Portability: Receive your data in a structured format
- Automated Decisions: Contest solely automated decisions
To Exercise Your Rights: Email ios@netmonitor.ing with "Privacy Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days (or the period required by your local law). We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
Please note: Location data is not stored on our servers. For data held by third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, AppLovin), we will forward deletion requests to the relevant provider.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose (see Section 4)
- Right to delete your personal information
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt-out of "sales" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell your personal information. Ad partners may process data for personalized advertising, which may constitute "sharing" under CCPA. You can opt out via your device's privacy settings or by contacting us.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we collect precise geolocation for core functionality only, not for profiling
- To submit a request, email ios@netmonitor.ing. We will verify your identity before processing. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
European Economic Area/UK Residents (GDPR):
- All rights listed above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority
- We process data based on the legal bases described in Section 5
- We apply data minimization principles — we collect only what is necessary for the stated purposes
- For EU/UK inquiries, contact us at ios@netmonitor.ing. We do not currently have an EU representative appointed under Article 27 GDPR due to the limited scale and nature of our data processing.
Canada (PIPEDA): Rights to access, correction, and transparency.
Brazil (LGPD): Similar rights to GDPR, including the right to anonymization.
10. Location Controls
- Location Services: You can disable location access in your device settings. The App will still function, but you won't see your current location on the map (you'll still be able to view cell towers in the map's current view area).
- Personalized Advertising: You can limit ad tracking or reset your Advertising ID in your device's privacy settings.
11. Do Not Track
The App does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals or similar mechanisms. You can control data collection by adjusting your device privacy settings or contacting us to exercise your rights.
12. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
The App is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware we have done so, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child provided information, contact us at ios@netmonitor.ing.
13. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, AppLovin). Their use of your information is governed by their respective privacy policies linked above. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
15. Accessibility
We strive to ensure our App and privacy information are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Please contact us if you have accessibility requirements.
